KS2 Resources
When covering Key Stage 2 children, you need to carry a full set of Numeracy and Literacy resources with you and possibly some one off lessons for the afternoons. Our recommendations are:
Pobble 365, ‘Picture of the day’
Pobble 365 provides a unique picture every day which is designed to promote discussion and comprehension skills in children. The images include photographs, drawings and fairytale characters and you can search through previous days to find one suitable for your class or linked to a specific topic. Each image has a series of questions and activities underneath, which can be adapted to suit all abilities and year groups or turned into worksheets for a guided reading session. Ideal for EAL and SEND learners, particularly if you don’t know the class, as it is based around an image so removes any language or reading barriers.
Twinkl
Anyone who has walked around primary classrooms in recent year will have witnessed the hand of Twinkl, the cover-all site which has resources for almost every subject and every topic at primary school. There are powerpoint presentations of lessons, printable displays and worksheets often come in three differentiated levels. Some resources come for free but to access all the resources requires a paid subscription.
Primary Resources
The original KS2 worksheet website, it also has KS1 resources and powerpoints and lots of other resources. These are purely worksheets created by teachers, for teachers, so although they are all free, some are unloaded in some unusual software or older Microsoft versions with school names that need to be removed. However, if you find the worksheet you need, you can be safe in the knowledge that they are all free.

TES
Originally (and still) an educational newspaper, the Times Educational Supplement (TES) Teaching Resources has become possibly the largest sections of the TES site. It is effectively a market place for resources, with teachers buying and selling all manner of teaching material on the site. There are some free resources but you can quite quickly spend a considerable amount of money on resources.
