Many agencies are saying that they can’t furlough in August because guidance doesn’t allow them to. If they say this, please send them the new HMRC guidance update.

In the guidance, it says: ‘If your employee is a supply teacher: Supply teachers are eligible for the scheme in the same way as other employees and can continue to be claimed for during school holiday periods provided that the usual eligibility criteria are met.’
